In the Hindu mythological epic of ‘Ramayana’, lord Rama with Sita and Laxmana were exiled at the words of their father. They passed through many forests and crossed river Yamuna in the decorative boat. They are escorted in the front by Hanuman; son of the wind God, devout of lord Rama and a leading warrior among monkey tribe. At the rear is Laxmana. Lord Rama is believed to be incarnation of lord Vishnu and Sita that of Godess Laxmi.
The verses in the local dialect describes of the emotions of anxious devotees waiting at the bank of the river for the devine appearance of the lord and pay their respect.

Swayamwar is the ritual of selecting a groom. King Janak (father of Sita) announces the swayamwar to win the hand of his beautiful daughter Princess Sita. He invites kings, princes and sages from all over. Rama; the brave and devine son of King Dashrath attends the ceremony.
A large heavy bow is placed in the center of the Swayamwar hall. King Janak announces that the person who will string the bow would win the hands of fair Sita. One by one every king, prince tries to string the bow but none of them could even lift it. Kings also tried collectively but could not do so. Finally it was Lord Rama’s Turn. He prayed and in one breath lifted the bow, stung it and broke it in to two. Everyone was astounded and broke into cheers. Sita walks upto Lord Rama and places a garland around his neck. And so, they are wed.
The verses in the local dialect describe how Sita is emotionally overwhelmed at the sight and touch of Lord Rama.
